Two swimmers captured titles, two team records were broken, and one more swimmer qualified for the national championships, as the YMCA of Montclair Dolphins swim team punctuated a highly successful season at the recent SunKissed Invitational Junior/Senior Swimming Championships of the USA in Charlotte, N.C.
On June 3, 2018, the YMCA of Montclair and the Montclair Recreation Department will host the 36th Montclair Run. The event is a great way for individuals, families and runners of all abilities to support an active lifestyle while giving back to the community. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Carol Kearney on March 16, 2018. Carol was a mainstay of the YMCA of Montclair community for over 37 years.
At the YMCA Bronze Championships, 31 YMCA of Montclair Dolphins swimmers racked up 51 top 10 finishes, with many achieving personal bests or qualifying for additional championship meets. Overall, the boys finished 4th out of 16 teams, and the girls 6th out of 17 teams.
The youngest members of the YMCA of Montclair Dolphins swim team shined as they turned in fantastic performances at the state championships for swimmers ages 8 and under.

The YMCA of Montclair has named Buddy Evans as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 5, 2018. Evans will succeed former President and CEO Jo Ann Short and Interim President and CEO Tim Weidman.
