At the YMCA, we believe that in order to strengthen communities, we must understand the current issues and foresee the future needs of the people and communities we serve. We measure success by our positive impact on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

At the YMCA of Montclair, we are committed to providing support and resources to the community. Some of our initiatives serve a unique focus or group of people, and some happen outside of the walls of our Y.

Financial Assistance

The YMCA of Montclair is here for all. Financial assistance is available for membership, programs, childcare, and camps thanks to generous donor support of the Y’s Annual Campaign.

Community Health Wellness

Our programs for adults with hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and Parkinson’s disease are overseen by certified instructors with specialized training to help manage these specific health issues.

Teen Programs

The Y offers enrichment programs, sports & athletic activities, social events, & more to assist teens in discovering, exploring, and expanding their interests and talents beyond the classroom.

Safety Around Water Classes

The Y teaches essential water safety skills to youth and adults reducing the risk of drowning, and giving individuals confidence in and around water.

Volunteer Opportunities

Resolve to get involved! At the YMCA of Montclair, we are mobilizing volunteers to use their creativity, passion, and hard work to strengthen our community.

Financial assistance is available to anyone based on family income, number of household members, and the availability of Y funds. To receive financial assistance, you must reside in our service area (Bloomfield, Bloomingdale, Clifton, Cedar Grove, Glen Ridge, Haskell, Hewitt, Montclair, Verona, Wanaque, and West Milford). Financial assistance is supported in part through contributions to the Annual Campaign.
