Come move, learn and celebrate with the YMCA of Montclair for our annual Healthy Kids Day on April 27th!
Healthy Kids day is a national Y event that encourages kids and their families to create healthy habits together, especially as we enter the summer months. Research shows that during out of school time, without access to activities, kids fall behind academically; they can gain weight twice as fast and they are less motivated. The YMCA of Montclair’s Healthy Kids Day jumpstarts ideas for healthy habits and this year’s event will get kids and adults alike to embrace their inner ninja!
On Saturday, April 27, 2019, the YMCA of Montclair is hosting their “Ninja Warrior” themed event from 12 – 2pm that will inspire kids and families to motivate, move and make memories.
The event is FREE and open to the community. Special events are:
Bring your bathing suit, towel and swim cap with you to take advantage of free swim times after the Ninja Warrior events (Youth Swim from 3-5 pm and Family Swim from 5-7 pm).
“A child’s development is never on vacation! Healthy Kids Day is a great opportunity to enhance kids’ enthusiasm and our Ninja courses and activities will motivate their minds, bodies and spirit!” says Buddy Evans, YMCA of Montclair CEO. “All kids have unlimited potential when they feel healthy and happy and supported. When this happens, they can do anything they set their minds to.”
