FAMILY MEMBERSHIP FAQ
How do I switch from my current membership to a family membership? If you pay for your membership by monthly bank or credit card draft, complete NEW membership application and e-pay form by 8th of the month and new family membership will be effective for the 15th.
If you pay for your membership annually, you will need to convert to a monthly bank or credit card draft. You will be able to switch as of your annual renewal date beginning on or after August 15, 2018. Come to the Welcome Center at either branch. You will be asked to fill out a new application, pay the first 2 months payments (pro-rated). Your first family membership draft payment will be on or after October 15, 2018.
I just renewed my membership, what does that mean for me? You will be eligible to convert to a family membership on your first renewal on or after August 15, 2018.
My partner and I pay annually and have different renewal dates, what does that mean for us? You are eligible to convert to a family membership on the earlier renewal date (on or after August 15, 2018). The membership with the later renewal date will be pro-rated and a credit will be applied evenly to the first 12 draft payments.
I just renewed my child’s membership, will I get a refund or a credit? We are not prorating or offering credits or refunds for dependents that are added to a family membership.
Can I draft from 2 different accounts? You may only have one payment method per family membership.
How many dependents can I add? You may add all your legal dependent(s) under age 18 that live in your household.
What happens to my 20/20 membership? If family membership makes sense for your family and you convert, you will lose your 20/20 status and discount. However, if it makes more sense for you to keep your 20/20 membership, we are grandfathering those rates at this time. Please note, if your membership cancels for any reason, you will lose the grandfathered rate. Anyone who was tied to your 20/20 membership will be able to keep their status as long as both memberships remain active.
The family membership rate is more expensive then my current rate, what should I do? For some single adult households, our current rate is less than the new family memberships. We are grandfathering those rates at this time. Although you will be able to keep your current rate, you will not be eligible to receive the benefits of the new family membership plans unless you upgrade. Moving forward, your membership will be known as a 10% reduced rate membership. Please note, if your membership cancels for any reason, you will lose the grandfathered rate.
What if I need to go on hold? If you put your family membership on hold, then the entire household must go on hold. Please read our hold policy HERE.
