Camp at the Lake
Montclair YMCA Camp at the Lake in West Milford creates experiences of a lifetime for both campers and staff. All staff travel on buses with the campers and enjoy a day of adventure at our beautiful 40 acre lake setting. Session dates: June 23rd –August 29th.

Requirements
Candidates must:
- be willing to work at least 7 weeks of the summer between June 23 and August 29, 2008
- love the ‘Great Outdoors’
- be highly motivated, creative and energetic
- have patience and understanding
- have experience working with children
- attend 24 hours of Staff Training (paid) on scheduled dates prior to summer camp season

New Discoveries Summer Camp
New Discoveries Camp offers a daily schedule including swim, arts & crafts, adventures in drama and water sports. Camp is located at the Montclair Community Pre-K Center, 49 Orange Road. Session dates: June 23rd – August 22nd.
POSITIONS OPEN and SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES & Requirements
- Lead Directors: Group Directors and Specialty Directors
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervision of 25 children and 3 staff members, preparing weekly lesson plans and providing positive parent interaction. Must have 3-5 years experience working with children. Teacher Certification a plus but not required, CPR and 1st Aid a plus. Must be available Monday –Friday 8:30am-3:30pm from June 23-August 22. Pay rang: $12.50-$15.00 per hour.
- Counselors
- Responsibilities include working within a group of 25 children in day camp setting for children 4-9 years old and assisting the Group Director in carrying out the daily schedule set forth by the Camp Director. Experience working with children a plus. Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be available Monday –Friday 8:30am-3:30pm from June 23-August 22. Pay range: $7.15-$12.00 per hour
- After Care Camp Counselors
- Responsibilities include working within a group of 25 children in day camp setting for children 4-9 years old and assisting the Group Director in carrying out the daily schedule set forth by the Camp Director. Experience working with children a plus. Must be available Monday –Friday 2:45pm-6:30pm from June 23-August 22. Pay range: $7.15-$12.00 per hour.

Counselors, Site Directors & Specialty Directors for Extended Care Programs located in Montclair, Bloomfield, Verona & Cedar Grove. Experience working with Children is required. Lifeguards
Must be a minimum of 15 years of age with current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications. Upon applying for this position, rescues and CPR skills will be reviewed.
Early Bird Lifeguards
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age with current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications. Hours are from 4:30am to 9am. Upon applying for this position rescues and CPR skills will be reviewed.
Swim Instructors
Teach swimming lessons to children in different age groups and levels. Must have experience with children and swimming. Weekday and weekend hours available.
Adult Lesson Instructors
Teach swimming lessons to adults in different age groups and levels. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have experience with adults and swimming. Morning and evening hours available.
